Types of Packages

With Today’s hectic lifestyle, we, at BPDS are pleased to extend to you custom tailored training packages.  All of our training is done on an individual basis; therefore, we can offer programs that meet each individuals needs. 

Based on progressive evaluations and discussions with the student, we adjust the time allocation during lessons for particular skills, the type of instruction, along with the number of lessons overall.  This is done so that the amount of training provided is accurate for the student to have the capability to pass the road test and moreover be a safe, defensive commercial driver.

Furthermore this is also the reason that a specific price cannot be set for the cost of training. The instructor has to take some time to evaluate the student and also observe their learning curve before making an estimate on the number of hours required by that student.  There are some general guidelines below.

Basic Packages
The Basic packages are meant for people who are skilled at driving larger vehicles on a regular basis, presently posses and use a commercial driver’s license and wish to upgrade, or have held a commercial driver’s license in the past or in another country.

Intermediate Packages
These packages are meant for those students that mainly have experience driving smaller vehicles.  The Intermediate package is the average amount of time most students require, one can give or take a few hours depending upon the student.

Beginners Packages
These packages are meant for those people that do not drive frequently or have hurdles they may need to jump while working through their training.

Advanced Packages

Those who are interested in Advanced training such as defensive techniques in the city, freeway, and long haul training.

Hourly Rates
Employed for drivers with experience in another province or state, brush up’s, road tests, and driver assessments.

Air Brake Course
The Air Brake course is a 16-hour classroom program covering modern Air Brake theory and systems.

Adding Air Brakes to Your License
This package includes the 16-hour classroom program and four hours of hands on pre-trip inspection and certification exam

Government Approved Full Courses for Classes 1,2,3,& 4 Unrestricted
All the packages listed below include road training (as indicated), truck theory for classes 1-3 only (optional), pre-trip inspection and road test by ICBC on our premises. 

Class One - Tractor Trailor

Basic -  for students who have skills driving multi gear transmission vehicles .

Basic - experience driving mannual transmissions large vehicles.
